Work With  Laura

“He heals the broken in heart,
and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

In Kintsugi, the Japanese Art form, broken pottery is mended and the repairs are painted with gold. This process makes the piece stronger and more beautiful than before it was broken. The philosophy of Kintsugi values imperfections, viewing them as something to celebrate, not disguise. It teaches us to embrace our struggles and repair them with patience and love, making use more beautiful and stronger having been broken.

Similarly, life can shatter us and leave us feeling damaged and less than, when in reality, the transformation and healing can lead to the best version of ourselves.

You are not broken. You are beautifully whole.

I share about Kintsugi with you because people come to me every day who tell me they are broken and in many pieces. Some share that they aren’t even sure where all of their pieces are.

Beloved, you may feel broken and shattered, but you aren’t beyond repair. You can start the healing process from loss, trauma, or abuse. Together with me, you can learn to put the pieces back together.

CLIENTS CALL LAURA A HEART WITH EARS!

Laura has helped a wide variety of adults, couples, children and families both from a psychological and a spiritual perspective. Her background in loss, trauma, and abuse allows her to help people connect and consider how multiple factors including relationships, health, and spirituality impact one’s life. Laura believes that it is not always what happens to us that impacts us but rather how we respond to what happened.

As with other secular professionals, pastoral counselors can help with various issues and often have specialties such as marriage and family therapy, substance use disorders, or mental health conditions. They can also help with spiritual or religious matters.

Safe Place Conversations

A REVOLUTIONARY WAY TO CONDUCT PASTORAL COUNSELING USING PUSH-TO-TALK TECHNOLOGY

Traditional Pastoral Counseling, either in person or on Zoom, for 45 mins to an hour can be exhausting, draining, and not as productive as they could be.

With Safe Place Conversations™ you don’t have to look your counselor in the eye or know they are looking at you while you describing difficult and painful situations you have experienced such as trauma, abuse, or loss.

Instead, Safe Place Conversations™ allows you to live your life while being able to have ample time to process your thoughts and feelings without the traditional Pastoral Counseling time frame.
